SMALL TALK IS OUT. VIRTUAL DATES ARE IN.
I hope you are doing well and staying safe.
I know all of us excruciatingly aware that we are faced by some truly unprecedented times, and that has slowed down life in more ways than one. At the same time, if one were to look for the silver lining, we just that we finally have the time to introspect, evaluate and give some serious thought all that we have been putting off for a long time – including our relationships.
For over a decade, we have had the pleasure of working with the Indian diaspora around the world, helping them find love in this digitally crowded world, regardless of their age, location, relationship history.
We have stretched across geographical boundaries, having embraced virtual dating as early as 2012. Having personally observed the number of long-distance relationships that have now blossomed into happy marriages, I am pleased to report our approach works!
Recognising that social distancing is the need of the hour, for the safety of our clients as well as that of our team, we have temporarily paused interviews and in-person dates, and instead, are conducting both interviews and dates virtually (over video conferencing) until local authorities suggest otherwise.
Since the lock down, our teams working remotely from Mumbai, Dubai and London have set up 486 virtual dates globally. We were particularly stoked to celebrate the news of our first ‘lockdown’ wedding, between one of our favourite couples brought together across coastal lines. (San Diego and Washington DC)
I am hopeful that these pivots to new and emerging approaches of connecting will give singles the additional time and headspace to find their soulmates. To those already in committed relationships – our cheers and best wishes to use this time to nourish them further.
While things may feel particularly difficult, we must not stop living, or loving.
